The Scorpio Full Moon & Beltane: Release and Reclamation

Scorpio Full Moon Illuminates What’s Hidden

The Full Moon in Scorpio arrives as an invitation to look deeply at what you’ve been carrying in the dark. This is potent lunar energy, one that asks you to dig into the murky depths of your emotional landscape and bring what’s been hidden into the light.

Scorpio opposes Taurus, creating a dialogue between the emotional depths of water and the grounded stability of earth. This tension is alchemical. If you’re willing to face the raw truths you’ve been avoiding (the uncomfortable feelings, the difficult conversations, the parts of yourself you’ve tucked away), true transformation becomes possible.

From Subconscious to Conscious: The Work of Facing Truth

The Scorpio Full Moon is not gentle. It asks you to stir up the mud in your emotional basement and cellars. It demands that you witness what wants to be seen, felt, heard, and acknowledged. This is shadow work, and shadow work is sacred work.

When we face the raw truths, even when they are uncomfortable, we release the stagnant energy that has been holding us captive. We shine the light of awareness back at what we’ve been avoiding. In that illumination, we find the possibility of healing.

Working with Your Heart and Sacral Energy

To move through this full moon consciously, anchor yourself in two energy centers.

The Heart Chakra (Anahata). Ground yourself in the love and compassion of fixed earth energy. Imagine a vibrant green color. This is your anchor point, the place where you remember that you are safe to feel deeply.

The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana). This is where emotional and creative water energy lives. Your womb portal space, your sacred center of feeling. Work here with gentleness and curiosity. Imagine the radiant color of orange. Honor what wants to move through this space.

Beltane: The Festival of Fire and Authenticity

The Scorpio Full Moon falls on May 1st, which is Beltane. A sacred fire festival marking the halfway point between the spring equinox and summer solstice. The last time the full moon aligned with Beltane was 1988. This is rare. This is potent.

Beltane is a time when the wild things in us wake up. It’s a call to release the parts of yourself you’ve been taming, to let out what the world has asked you to suppress. The universe doesn’t need another version of you that fits. It needs you, exactly as you are.

Dance. Sing. Scream. Drum. Release. This is the medicine Beltane offers.

Release with Love, Acceptance, and Gratitude

The Full Moon in Scorpio asks for release, and Beltane asks for liberation. Together, they create a portal for transformation. As you move through this lunar cycle, remember that release doesn’t have to be violent. It can be gentle, intentional, and wrapped in love.

Shine the light of the sun back at your shadow with acceptance, gratitude, and patience. Own who you are. Dance into your authenticity. The world is waiting for your most real self.

Peace, love, and liberation to all beings, all places, and all ways, always.
