New Moon Yoga Nidra: A Virtual Journey of Renewal

The New Moon is a cosmic “reset button”—a time of darkness that invites us to turn inward, plant seeds of intention, and rest deeply. This virtual Yoga Nidra session is designed to help you clear the mental clutter of the past lunar cycle and align with the quiet potential of what’s next.

Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is a guided meditation that leads you into a state of conscious relaxation between wakefulness and sleep. It’s here, in the stillness, where the nervous system resets and the subconscious becomes fertile ground for new beginnings.

What to Expect

  • We’ll begin with Intention Setting (Sankalpa), where we craft a personal “seed” or resolve for the coming month.
  • Next, we will do a few minutes of gentle movement and soft stretching to prepare the body for stillness.
  • After movement, you’ll be guided through a 45-minute Yoga Nidra, focusing on body scanning and breath awareness for deep relaxation.
  • We’ll finish with an integration period, offering a quiet moment to transition back, feeling grounded and restored.

Preparation & Setup

Since we are meeting virtually, your comfort is the top priority. Please prepare:

  • A quiet, dim space where you won’t be interrupted.
  • A yoga mat, bed, or couch to lie on.
  • Props: A pillow for your head, a bolster (or rolled blanket) for under your knees, and a warm blanket.
  • An eye mask or a small towel to block out light.
  • Headphones for the best audio experience.
