Your voice is more than words. It is vibration, resonance, and the purest expression of your being. Long before language, humans knew how to hum, chant, sigh, and cry, using sounds that naturally moved energy and restored balance. This primal power still lives within you, waiting to be remembered.
During this workshop, we will work with sound, movement, and shamanic journey practices to gently open your voice as a channel for spirit, deeper intuition, and nervous system support. You do not need to be a singer to attend. You simply need to feel the call.
Primal Voice is a 1-day, shamanic and somatic sound workshop held at GlassWing Medicine in Onalaska, Washington. This gathering is for those who feel called to reconnect with their intuitive, ancestral voice and explore sound as a tool for healing, regulation, and spiritual connection.

This you’ll experience in this shamanic vocal exploration.
Gentle embodiment practices to help you feel safe, present, and resourced in your body before we open the voice. This includes simple movements, breath, and nervous system-friendly check-ins.
Accessible sounds and tones that open the diaphragm, chest, and throat while softening fear about being heard. This work is supportive for those who feel constriction in the throat or jaw.
A held space to allow non-linear, non-logical voice to arise. We’ll work with sounds, syllables, and tones that feel ancient, intuitive, and wise, and invite ancestral and light language to emerge without pressure to “perform.”
We’ll embark on a collective journey to connect with inner guidance, meet supportive allies, or receive insight for your path through various sounds and instruments. Our work will be grounded and suitable for both beginners and experienced journeyers.
Practices to listen beneath words. To feel the energy, sensation, and subtle messages to arise as you use your voice as a tool for perception and clarity. We’ll explore sound as a channel for deeper intuition and psychic sensitivity and tools to help you continue the practice.
Time for journaling, quiet integration, and optional sharing so your system can digest what has emerged.
Each activity is simply an invitation, not an expectation, to explore as your nervous system allows.
→ Feel like your voice has been silenced, shut down, or shamed
→ Sense a “language” inside you — tones, syllables, or sounds that you don’t fully understand yet
→ Feel called to explore light or ancestral language in a safe, grounded space
→ Want to deepen your relationship with intuition, spirit guides, and your inner knowing
→ Are seeking gentle, somatic tools for nervous system regulation and emotional release
→ Are curious about shamanic journey work and how your voice can be a bridge between worlds
You do not need to identify as a healer, shaman, or singer. All levels of experience are welcome.
Our voices carry our stories. The times we were heard, the times we were silenced, the moments we swallowed truths to stay safe. Working with the voice at a somatic and shamanic level can support nervous system regulation and emotional release, help unwind patterns of self-censorship and people-pleasing, deepen your connection to intuition, spirit, and ancestral wisdom, strengthen your capacity to speak boundaries and needs, and offer a pathway back to your own inner authority and medicine.
